George Hall (1924-2013)
It is with sadness I have to report that George passed away on Sunday 14 July 2013 in Ludlow Community Hospital, following a short illness. In addition to being the President of the Welsh Mines Society, George was a founder member and former Director of the Welsh Mines Preservation Trust.
George will be remembered as the author of The Metal Mines of Southern Wales, The Gold Mines of Merioneth and Mines of the Sixties, in addition he wrote many well researched articles for the newsletter of the Welsh Mines Society.
