Dedicated to the Preservation of the History and Heritage of the Welsh Metal Mining and Slate Industry.
During 2012 the Trust carried out an archaeological survey of the lower dressing area, prior to Environment Agency (Wales) works there. This was to record what was there and also to identify any features at risk by these works. A full report is contained in the May 2013 newsletter (which you can read here). You can see some pictures of our work at the site in 2012 on the Welsh Mines Society website here.
